The Department for Education has launched a new campaign called “Hungry Little Minds” aimed at parents and carers to help boost children’s communication, language and literacy development.

A new campaign has recently launched to dispel myths about childminders and to promote the profession.
Five childminding organisations across the UK and Ireland (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY), PACEY Cymru, the Northern Ireland Childminding Association (NICMA), Childminding Ireland and the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) have joined forces to launch the campaign which aims to promote childminders and bust myths about the profession, such as that childminders are just babysitters, or are unqualified and unregulated.
