Month: February 2019
Before becoming a Childminder and a Mum 4 years ago, Dinosaurs and Unicorns never really featured in my life!.
These days however they seem to feature rather heavily(!) and are always a hit with the kids…
The kids enjoyed colouring in these lovely Kookaburra and Kangaroo pictures after school last month for Australia day.
With all that snow now (hopefully!) behind us, here at Aston Childcare our thoughts are turning to Spring!
To get us in the mood we’ve been colouring these pretty flower and butterfly templates. I love these activities where the very youngest in the setting (17 months old) and the eldest (6 years old) can get involved.
This week has been Children’s Health Week. Here are some great tips to ensure children are healthy ‘on the inside’.
Today, Tuesday 5th February, Chinese New Year begins.
This year is the year of the pig.
In nurseries and schools up and down the country today, children will be celebrating and learning about Chinese New Year in lots of fun and exciting ways. With just two little ones aged just 16 and 19 months however, we kept it simple with this fab Peppa Pig Chinese New Year book. Because, if there’s one thing all my mindees love it’s Peppa Pig!
